Two short quotes: The wisdom of Sherlock Holmes, AKA Arthur Conan Doyle

Arthur Conan Doyle of course was the author behind Sherlock Holmes. He was also a physician.

Here you go – both very wise –

"Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth."

And

"Never theorize before you have data. Invariably you end up twisting facts to suit theories instead of theories to suit facts."

  1. Arthur Conan Doyle also attended the same schools as Brigid’s brother, Neville. Not in the same cohort of course 😉
“Doyle was sent to England, to the Jesuit preparatory school Hodder Place, Stonyhurst in Lancashire at the age of nine (1868–70). He then went on to Stonyhurst College, which he attended until 1875.”
