Bishop Barron on Vatican II and Catholic traditionalism

Bishop robert barron eucharist

I have friends who are devotees of the Latin Mass. The legitimate Latin Mass, not some triumphalistic breakaway sect. Not I. I was an altar boy and midway through my altar boying we transitioned from Latin to English. My problem withthe Latin Mass is… it's not in English. Duh. But I can understand it's attraction.

The only problem is that, since the meteor hit after the Second Vatican Council, the Catholic Church in the United States has assimilated far, far too much of the godless secular culture surrounding it, while at the same time rejecting much of it’s legitimate tradition; to the extreme point where it can now be rightly remarked that the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops – and Barron with them – has degenerated into becoming nothing more than the Democratic Party at prayer!
