Since the pope himself lives behind a humongous wall which resembles the Great Wall of China, he should’ve been prudent enough not to get anywhere near a fist fight with Trump on this issue. He emerges from it with a bloody nose, and looking quite hypocritical, notwithstanding what Donohue says to try to spin it. This is yet another troubling example of the pope allowing himself to get into trouble by putting his foot in his mouth during an airplane interview. Perhaps he should start thinking about traveling by boat for a change! After all these blunders, hasn’t he learned anything?

Tom – I love this Pope. He didn’t build that wall, by the way. Frankly, I think he is doing a pretty good job at tearing down walls. Witness recent meeting with Eastern patriarch.
And his sensible reaction to contraception use during the Zika crisis. -
Yes I am very pro-Pope. I don’t think his comments were any big deal & the fact that the Vatican has a wall is irrelevant.
RE: the Zika crisis – he never used the word contraception. I am going to put up a post about everything he said on that flight – there were many topics. -
Great victory tonight in S.C.!
Thanks to Papa Francesco deciding to go to the Mexican border and to mix it up with my boy on the subject of the wall, I think he inadvertently caused more folks to vote for ‘The Donald’ tonight than otherwise would have. Thank you Papa! Let’s hope this pope effect for Trump carrys over into the voting in the upcoming primaries too.
With 82% of the precincts reporting in S.C., the tally thus far is:
Trump – 33%
Rubio – 22%
Cruz – 22%
Bush – 8%
Kasich – 8%
Carson – 7%
