I understand James Garner was married to the same woman for almost 60 years, a feat which may very well have him on the fast track to Heaven! I can’t imagine he’ll be needing much time in Purgatory after that! He spent the enormous sum of $77 on the honeymoon with his wife in 1956, “which just about broke me”, he said. According to Garner, “Marriage is like the Army; everyone complains, but you’d be surprised at the large number of people who re-enlist.”
