Tim’s 2014 track outdoor highlights video is up

The purpose of which is primarily for sending around to interested collegiate track programs. Javelin and shot put, plus PR’s in the squat and bench press.

Meanwhile, yesterday afternoon he sent me a text as he left the gym – these were the working sets for his bench press that day, after he’d warmed up with some “light” sets at 135, 185 and 220.

“I just did four sets of 2 at 320, then sets of 1 at 330 and 340. Then a burnout set of 20 at 230”

So he finished with 20 repetitions at 230 lbs. Good God!

Here’s the vid – 3 minutes – the music is only for the first 20 seconds. If you can, it would help if you “like” the video.

  1. I would suggest changing the music to the Chariots of Fire theme song.

the music is not exactly great – hence the warning that it’s over in 20 seconds. When we were putting together the video, we pretty much put up the first thing that came along, without realizing that to change it we’d ave to start the whole editing process from scratch. Just wasn’t worth it.

  3. With the new Chariots of Fire music on his video, all the colleges would surely want Tim on their team immediately! Let it run for the entire 3:03.

Noreen the way to officially “like” it, is to click on the lower right hand corner where it says youtube. That will take you to the video on youtube. Once you’re there, you will see too the left and below the video, a thumbs up symbol. you need to click on that to like the video.

Really good video – continuing a sound track u like throughout is probably a good idea. Music is good, but maybe Tim talking about his interest in the sport would also work: Why he is focusing on this sport and not something else… why he is drawn to it… What his fitness regimen is like… Different things he has learned from various coaches that “Took him to to the next level” …life lessons, if any, he has learned through sports… what he is looking for in a college sports program…what kinds of career tracks or college majors may be of interest to him… What being part of a team means to him vs in a sense, he is always competing against himself to improve his performance. Maybe you can think of other questions Tim can respond to, to fill out the time. Tim has been really dedicated and those bench presses are amazing!!!! Am hoping you get into the college of your dreams, Tim! Have a great week! Mary
