A quick visit from Vermont friends

Our great friend Laurie, and her Dad Chuck stayed with us Saturday night. They had to go into Manhattan to visit a relation and make a pick-up.

A great deal for Farandaville: we got a bottle of Vermont Vodka (didn’t know there was such a thing) made from milk! a Vermont maple liqueur, and a 12 pack of a variety of Vermont brewed beer. And then Chuck beat me to the bill for our meal atthe Croton Diner.

Sure beats maple syrup.

Here, Brigid makes Laurie look tall

Thanks for these and the invite, Tom. Great talking with you, Laurie. Sorry to have missed the one on one (two!)time in person!

It was definitely a quick trip. Thankfully we made it in & out of the city fairly smoothly. Early Sunday a.m. in NYC is probably about all most VT drivers want to do. Thanks for putting us up, Tom & Brigid. Sorry to have missed you too, Judy.

  3. Always great to see you Laurie. And tell your Dad the reuben sandwich half
that he left behind after doggie bagging it from the Diner, didnt go to
    waste!

He’ll be glad to hear about the reuben. He HATES to waste food. Hopefully, the eggplant parm met a similar fate. I completely forgot about them in the fridge.
