“We’re asking the court to preserve the results of the election until the situation in election District 11 gets sorted out,” Konig said. “A judge will have to decide whether any voters were denied their opportunity to vote on Election Day.”

Burton, who is completing his second term, had little to say on the mix-up other than, “Let’s follow the law and let the cards fall where they may.” He received 4,843 total votes to Konig’s 4,834 votes, according to unofficial results.
