Here’s Brigid at yesterday’s Croton street fair, Summerfest. She decided to have her own exhibit with some of the artwork she’s done connected with this year’s 400th anniversary of the discovery of Hudson River (discovered by Henry Hudson, of course).
Here she is with Nancy

This morning Brigid is leaving for South Bend, along with the other four New York area people arrested on May 17th at Notre Dame, on trumped-up “trespassing” charges. Tom Faranda’s Folly: Brigid makes the news at Notre Dame today .
She hadn’t planned on going back; skipping the arraignment would probably mean the State of Indiana issuing a warrant, so if she was picked up in Indiana on any other charge (like speeding) in the next two or three years the warrant would show up and she could be arrested. But so what – when was she going to be back in Indiana?
But Brigid changed her mind; as there’s now a real possibility of a civil rights lawsuit against the University for the arrests. So she and her four pals – “The South Bend Five” are driving the twelve hours to get there for the arraignment (which will literally only take a few minutes) on Tuesday morning. I believe the total number of arrests amounted to about 85.
If Notre Dame were smart they’d ask that the charges be dismissed, but they’re not smart. Notre Dame Not Seeking Leniency for Arrested Pro-Life Protesters: Thomas More Lawyers Now on the Case
And the ACLJ (not ACLU; rather the American Center for Law and Justice) is also getting involved. The stupidity of Notre Dame on this whole issue is just breathtaking.
More to follow. Eventually I’ll be posting television video of Brigid’s whole arrest, which was seen live, throughout the world.
Here’s the other posting I did about Brigid’s ND trip, and it has some pictures. Brigid’s home, safe and sound
