BUT First! – the champagne cocktail we mentioned here What we will be imbibing for our anniversary – tomorrow was delicious, although we modded it somewhat.
A small amount of brown granulated sugar at the bottom of the fluted glass, saturated with orange angostura bitters. Then 3/4 ounce of cognac and about 3 ounces of Freixenet sparkling wine. Delicious! the sweetness plays off against the bitters and the cognac. All four of us enjoyed it.
