The key factor mentioned here is that young, privileged people support Mamdani’s socialist agenda. Mamdani himself is very privileged, with wealthy, well connected parents. Most of these privileged young people have never bothered to think about how their parents or grandparents made the money they been raised with. One very good point raised here is how undercutting and thus destroying private businesses would destroy the tax base and actually cost everyone more. Keep raising taxes and discouraging high earning and you kill the goose that was laying the gold eggs. That’s how short sighted and stupid rich young socialists are.
