This thing is not going away, sir. 6,300 people died in New York nursing homes. That\u2019s the most in this country. The more time has passed, the more your office has been able to look into this. <strong>Do you take responsibility for that order and the role it may have played in those deaths?&#0160;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">But Cuomo just claimed this was a political game concocted by Republicans. However, there has been a bipartisan effort by <a href=\"https:\/\/buffalonews.com\/2020\/06\/21\/nys-lawmakers-still-want-hearings-on-covid-19-nursing-home-deaths\/\">New York\u2019s state legislature <\/a>to hold hearings on the nursing home issue as well. Ruhle at first didn\u2019t let him downplay the scandal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbusters.org\/blogs\/nb\/brad-wilmouth\/2020\/05\/29\/fox-exposes-cuomos-office-trying-hide-deadly-corona-exec-order\">which he tried to cover up<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-slot-rendered-dynamic=\"true\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">CUOMO: Yeah, the Republicans, Stephanie, are playing politics. They don\u2019t want to talk about how \u2014<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>RUHLE: Sir, these are lives. These are people\u2019s parents\u2019 lives.&#0160;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">CUOMO: Yes, I understand that. And there are facts also, Stephanie. So let\u2019s look at the facts, right, rather than the political rhetoric. Yes, we had more people die in nursing homes than anywhere else.
