Salazar<\/em><\/a> denounced the Colorado law as an \u201cegregious assault\u201d on freedom of speech and a form of \u201cviewpoint discrimination.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Supreme Court upheld counselor Kaley Chiles\u2019 right to engage in talk therapy with clients, including young people, who seek to reduce or eliminate homosexual inclinations, \u201cchange sexual behaviors, or grow in the experience of harmony with their bodies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The justices stressed that licensed professionals\u2019 speech is not bound by \u201ccurrently prevailing professional views.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*******************<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson dissented from the ruling, which reverses a previous decision from the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals in favor of Colorado.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The vote was 8-1.
