I have excerpted the last four short paragraphs & note “rocket science” comment. The entire column was about SpaceX initial quarterly report —<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet not everyone is buying the AI story. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of which is why Musk carried himself in an unusual fashion Tuesday. He sounded, dare say, patient<\/em> with analysts and their questions. That was a change from some earlier, infamous Tesla earnings calls when he lost his temper and even berated \u201cboring, bonehead\u201d questions about the meat and potatoes of that company\u2019s business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead, Musk even offered to elaborate on one complex question, sounding sympathetic to an analyst\u2019s plight. \u201cObviously if somebody\u2019s trying to create a financial model\u2026you have to plug in some numbers here,\u201d Musk said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, in his own way, he asked for investors to be patient, too. \u201cRocket science is an idiomatic expression for extreme technological difficulty,\u201d Musk said. \u201cAnd there\u2019s a reason for it because, let me tell you, what rockets desperately want to do every flight: They desperately want to blow themselves into tiny pieces.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nobody wants that. Not Musk. Not investors. After all, they bought the ticket and, now, they are taking the ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
