UPDATE<\/strong><\/span>: To my surprise the Wall Street Journal only offered mild criticism of  his snarky and cheap shot comments about Biden and the Democrat apparatus. "…there was an inevitable list of grievances about the administration he is succeeding. If anyone expected a grace note toward President Biden or Kamala Harris<\/a>, there wasn\u2019t one. (And give them credit for showing up after a defeat, unlike Mr. Trump four years ago.)" but generally liking what he had to say.<\/em> Trump's Inaugural of Optimism. He begins his second term with a far better message than 2017.<\/a>

If you saw it<\/a> (21 minutes; applause removed) I'm sure it's understandable – although not helpful – that he did an end zone dance and spiked the ball at the Democrats.<\/div>\n

BUT in business and in life it's usually best to underpromise and then overperform. It will be impossible to deliver on all he promised  which won't matter to his ardent supporters who are used to that. But not good for the rest of us. And his enemies will be reminding us about his overreach. In a way it won't matter since he can't run again and in fact his power will start slipping away after the 2026 midterm elections. But as I said here Election; how I voted & who I think will win<\/a>, very glad it's him and not President Harris.<\/div>\n
