Faranda a longtime Ossining resident passed away on Saturday June 7<sup>th<\/sup>, 2014. Jeanne was born in New York City on April 29<sup>th<\/sup>, 1926 and was the daughter of Ivan and Elizabeth (Johnson) Post. She was 88 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Jeanne was a graduate of The College of Mount Saint Vincent, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She later received her MS at Columbia Teachers College. She had a long and distinguished career as a public health nurse, nurse educator and various supervisory roles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">She is survived by her 3 sons Tom, Jim and Joseph Philip; and 8 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph and her son Paul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Jeanne was very active, along with her husband, for decades in St. Ann\u2019s Church and school in Ossining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 &amp; 7-9 at Dorsey. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 am at Holy Name of Mary Church, 114 Grand St., Croton-On-Hudson, NY 10520. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">In lieu of flowers donations to Expectant Mother Care, P.O.
