Had my semi-annual visit to Sloan and meeting with the lymphoma guru, Dr. Zelenetz. Everything was fine, including the CAT scan.<\/p>\n
So, after eight years (last chemo was the "high dose" stuff in January, 2006 – hard to believe it's that long ago) I'm now going from semi-annual visits and an annual CAT scan, to annual visits with Zelenetz, and a CAT scan every two years. Kind of a graduation. <\/p>\n
Also, I weighed exactly 160 lbs. which means I've lost 12-13 lbs in a year. Happy about that. Would love to loss another 4-5.<\/p>\n
Interestingly, when I speak to physicians non-professionally, many of them seem<\/span> surprised (or perhaps they're just glad) that I'm eight years post chemo\/autologous stem cell transplant for my particular lymphoma (mantle cell) and seem fine.
