Dawkins wrote a well-known book in the mid 1970&#39;s, <strong><em>The Selfish Gene<\/em><\/strong> (still unread on my bookshelf &#8230; some day &#8230;) with new theories on how biological evolution occurs. &#0160;<\/p>\n<p>I&#39;ve posted a few times about Dawkins &#8211; here&#39;s one <a href=\"http:\/\/tomfaranda.typepad.com\/folly\/2006\/10\/an_interesting_.html\" target=\"_self\">An Interesting Debate on Irish Radio<\/a>&#0160;and if you plug &quot;Richard Dawkins&quot; into the search engine above, you&#39;ll find at least three more.<\/p>\n<p>The NY Times &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2011\/09\/20\/science\/20dawkins.html?pagewanted=1&amp;_r=1&amp;nl=todaysheadlines&amp;emc=tha210\" target=\"_self\">Richard Dawkins, an Original Thinker Who Bashes Orthodoxy<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">He has written a string of best sellers, many detailing his view of evolution as progressing toward greater complexity. (His first children\u2019s book, \u201cThe Magic of Reality,\u201d appears this fall.)
