I spend most of my days trying to coax \u201csparkling prose\u201d from adolescent boys in Newark, N.J. Teaching journalism for the past fifteen years at an independent school that serves mostly minority young men has had me talking in my sleep about show don\u2019t tell, attention-grabbing leads, deadlines, and getting facts right . But I love my job. I am sure it is keeping me young in spirit and even mildly literate in the digital world.<\/p>\n
