This is a huge feast day in the Hispanic world (especially Mexico) and the event was organized by the Church&#8217;s Hispanic ministy. (Never heard of Our Lady of Guadalupe? Upwards of 20 million people visit the Basilica of Guadalupe every year; more visitors then to either Lourdes or Fatima.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The trick was &#8211; the Serenata began at 4:30 in the morning! We arrived on time and there was a surprising number of people. I would guess that at least 70 attended for at least part of the time. Lots of music nd prayer, all in Spanish. I had to leave at 6:00 to get Joe to school, came back at 6:40, and then left again at 7:00 when it was wrapping up, to get Tim to school. Brigid stayed for the whole time and then went to the Diner with a few chums who were there.
