If you are a fan of the Discovery Channel, you have already seen lots of interesting ads about their series beginning tomorrow, "Planet Earth."<\/p>\n

Evidently it’s as good as the ads suggest. Here’s a review of the series, which start at 8 PM tomorrow with the first three hours.<\/p>\n

"Planet Earth" sets a new standard in nature documentaries. The 11-part BBC series is full of astonishing sights — views of the Earth and its nonhuman creatures that outshine virtually anything seen on the screen before.<\/p>\n

Years will pass before another program poses a serious challenge to this landmark.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

An epic documentary comes with some epic inconveniences. Like living in a dark cave for days on end, trying not to lose your mind. Or taking two hours to get a glass of water, which will freeze if not immediately stored in a Thermos.<\/p>\n
