As was Glover&#8217;s unit commanding officer, Capt. John McKenna IV, shot when he went to his aid. Both were born with public service in their blood. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Military officials said Lance Cpl. Michael D. Glover, 28, was hit by sniper fire during a patrol. Capt. John J. McKenna IV, 30, was rushing to his fallen comrade&#8217;s side when he was also struck down.<\/p>\n<p>The pair were buried separately in New York in ceremonies laden with pageantry and emotion.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>As well as coverage in New York Newsday&nbsp; &nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsday.com\/news\/local\/longisland\/ny-lifune0827,0,3680551.story?coll=ny-top-headlines\">Slain Marine was inspired to serve by Sept. 11 attacks &#8211; Newsday.com<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s to say?
