I had my fourth and last rituxin treatment today at the Sloan Kettering annex next to Phelp Hospital in Sleepy Hollow. <\/p>\n
My blood cell counts are low. Total WBC’s are 1.6 (down from 4.1 three week ago) and my RBC and hemaglobin counts also below normal. So I was given a shot of "Darby" (I can’t spell the full name) to stimulate red blood cell production, and a shot of Neupogen for the white cells. I will also get Neupogen tomorrow and Friday. <\/p>\n
No one seems to know why my counts are low. I will certainly have it on the top of my list to take up with Dr. Kewalramani when I see him in Manhattan next Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Despite this, I do feel fine and with more pep then I had even a week or ten days ago. However, my lack of endurance (see posting from a couple of days ago) may be partly due to the below par red blood cell count. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
