Today was the third of the first four Rituxin treatments I am getting post- chemotherapy. The next and last series will be in four months.<\/p>\n
Before the treatment I was seen by my original oncologist, Dr. Wasserheit. I hadn’t seen her in several months, and she was quite plesed to see that I’d weathered all my chemotherapy pretty well. She is hopeful that I will not have a recurrence, although I pointed out to her that Dr. Zelenetz, the lymphoma guru, does not have that level of optimism.<\/p>\n
In any event, there is no sign of the bacterial or yeast infections. The only issue is that my blood counts – WBC’s and hemaglobin – are still on the low side. <\/p>\n
But I feel good. For the first time since March 4th, I went into the basement and worked with the dumbbells. I’d lost all that time with the chest and yeast infections! It actually went a little better then I expected. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
