My white blood cell and platelet counts are normal. My hemaglobin is 10.2, which means I am a little anemic (12-14 normal) but that will straighten itself out over the next couple of weeks.<\/p>\n
I told Dr. K. that some of my fatigue seemed to be lifting in the last 48 hours (Very true. I felt much better Sunday night and yesterday – went for my first real walk Monday – 15 minutes along the Hudson with Brigid, just south of Senasqua park. The wind was bad and almost got my face frostbitten!) I also asked him when I’d be getting by taste buds back, and he figured about another three weeks. And he OK’d me using some dumbbells to work out with. <\/p>\n
Will see Dr. K. next on Thursday, February 23rd, and the week after that will start the follow-up Rituxin treatment. That will be once a week, for four weeks, and I’ll get it through my port at the Sleepy Hollow branch of MSK. <\/p>\n
Dr. K. intimated that my limited activity\/limited diet regimen may not have to last the full eight weeks – could end a bit earlier. We will see. <\/p>\n
