{"id":4783,"date":"2006-01-03T20:16:38","date_gmt":"2006-01-03T20:16:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tomfarandasfolly.com\/?p=4783"},"modified":"2025-09-24T03:36:34","modified_gmt":"2025-09-24T03:36:34","slug":"faye_an_aelloge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tomfarandasfolly.com\/?p=4783","title":{"rendered":"Faye &#8211; an aellogenic stem cell transplant patient I wrote about &#8211; has left the hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On December 23rd I wrote about people who&#8217;ve contacted me and either have mantle cell or have a relative or friend with it. <a href=\"http:\/\/tomfaranda.typepad.com\/folly\/2005\/12\/postings_and_co.html\">Tom Faranda&#8217;s Folly: Postings and comments from other mantle cell patients, their family, and their friends<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>I mentioned Faye, whose family had a weblog going about her treatment, that she&#8217;d had a stem cell transplant from her brother and everyone was waiting for the transplant to &quot;engraft.&quot; Her transplant is much trickier than mine, since I am only getting my own cells back. <\/p>\n<p>So it&#8217;s nice to write that Faye left the hospital today. She and her husband will still have to stay near the medical center &#8211; I think they&#8217;ve taken an apartment &#8211; for the next two months, while the Docs closely follow her. But it&#8217;s certainly good news!
