As with the first two sessions, I feel pretty good now, at the end of the cycle of my third session. Only fly in the ointment is that I’ve developed a sinus infection. The sinusitis that I seem to never completely shake off, blossomed in the last four days into a full-fledged attack. This despite the fact that I’ve been on an antibiotic (Bactrim, taken three days a week) the whole time I’ve been on chemo. Sinus infections have been plaguing me the last few years.

So I spoke to Dr. Zeitlin, the ENT physician I’ve seen the last few times I had this problem, and I am going to take the Bactrim every day. Will also talk to the oncologist tomorrow about it.

After the fourth chemo session, it looks like I’ll have to have some scans – CT scan and PET scan – to "re-stage" my lymphoma. This is annoying since it means taking about a half day off for each test. And I was only told this would have to be done last week.

But I do feel pretty good. Despite the sinus infection I was able to do about 45 minutes of cardiovascular work in the gym last evening (bike and the ellyptical trainer) as well as some stretching.

My last outpatient RCHOP chemotherapy is tomorrow.
