11 years ago; at the Morgan Stewart Shelter on the Appalachian Trail

I was at this shelter exactly 11 years ago today. Was doing a solo overnight hike on the Trail. Video has been watched almost 23,000 times and there are a number of comments. Here are the notes from the youtube text. And I still have the fleece jacket!

In the video I called this the "Morgan Stanley" shelter and said it was the 27th of November, when it was the 28th. Must have been tired. The shelter is in New York on the Appalachian Trail, 3.3 miles west of Rte 55, as you are going south on the Trail, and 8.7 miles from where the AT crosses the Taconic State Parkway, to the south and west of the shelter. It was clean when I was there and is a solid shelter with good water supply from a nearby pump (water needs to be purified!).

We need lots and lots more of these types of shelters built throughout the land, so that all the poor people whose lives, homes, and finances have been destroyed by the stupid and senseless lockdowns imposed on them by people the likes of Dr. Fauci, Gov. Cuomo, Bill de Blasio, Gov Newsom, Gov. Grinchen Whitmer & company (who are supported by that globalist communist Antipope Bergoglio), can find some kind of refuge and protection from the cruel elements.
