That’s the name of a rock outcropping well above the Bear Mountain Bridge. This picture is NOT the injured hiker. It’s my hiking buddy Jeanne Marie on Anthony’s Nose in 2018. Below the picture is the story with a few pictures if you hit the link, but none show anything but the rescuers and the hiker (no name and not even sure of the sex) in very difficult terrain. AND it was very hot when they were bringing the person down.

“The challenging rescue took place Monday in high heat and humidity.”
“A big thank you to all the VOLUNTEER firefighters from multiple agencies that performed the rescue and hard work,” PCVAC said on Facebook. “Setting up the various ropes and stokes basket for the rescue and guiding them through some tough terrain and thick brush. We could not have done it without you!”
Among the other agencies going to the rescue were the Continental Village Volunteer Fire Department, Cortlandt Regional Paramedics, Fort Montgomery Fire Department, Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department and Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department.
