UPDATE: Here's a pretty good obit about his life.
We used to tape his show when he was on the Fox Business Network n the morning and then scroll through it in the evening to catch interesting pieces, especially his interviews. He had an eclectic group of men and women he'd interviewed, sometimes one off interviews, and other times he'd have a regular (like Senators John McCain or John Kerry) on.
He was a philanthropist – he raised or gave over $40 million to charities, mostly to benefit disadvantaged children. The Imus Ranch which gave children with cancer a cowboy experience, was sold in April, 2018.
Considering the way Imus abused his body in his younger days, it's kind of a wonder he made it to 79.
