Venezuela: President Trump said that the Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado gave him her Nobel Peace Prize during their meeting at the White House on Thursday. Ms. Machado said she had made the presentation “as a recognition for his unique commitment to our freedom.” Mr. Trump said it was a “a wonderful gesture” for “the work I have done.” Mr. Trump has openly coveted the prize, though the Nobel Committee has said the Peace Prize itself is not transferable, no matter who possesses the medal.
