Last Friday’s cocktail was this one –
Friday cocktail – The Cloister
The recipe calls for gin, Yellow Chartreuse, grapefruit juice, fresh lemon juice, and optionally a small amount of simple syrup.
Hit the link above to see Anders make it. Because Yellow Chartreuse is difficult to find he suggested as an alternate using Benedictine instead of Yellow Chartreuse and at the end of the video he made it. That is the only change made.
Farandaville tried it, and it is good. Has a little different character than the chartreuse version and you don’t need the tiny bit of simple syrup.
1.5 oz. Dry Gin
1/2 oz. Benedictine
1/2 oz. grapefruit juice
1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice
Shake with ice for 20-30 seconds and pour into a glass -very nice in a Nick and Nora glass!
