Stepinac football repeats as league champion

Stepinac championship

20-12 over Cardinal Hayes, and despite an ankle injury to their QB, making him immobile for the last three quarters.

“It’s awesome for these kids to go back-to-back. It was a great effort by them. Hayes played a hell of a game,” O’Donnell said. “That was a hard-hitting football game and it was a true testament to how great our league is.”

  1. Stepinac’s opponent in the Championship game next Saturday will be St. Francis High School from the Buffalo area, not far from Niagara Falls. Let’s hope Step sends them over the Falls in a barrel! I understand St Francis’ yearbook is called the Crusader! Maybe that’s an omen that Stepinac has their number. I hope so. GO CRUSADERS GO!!!

  2. After reflecting a little more on next Saturday’s Championship game between Faranda’s Stepinac Crusaders and the St. Francis Red Raiders, it occurred to me that ISIS will NOT be very happy with a win by either team. They will be unhappy with a Stepinac win because the Stepinac team name is ‘The Crusaders’; and they will be unhappy with a St. Francis win because their school yearbook is called ‘The Crusader. Either way, they don’t like Crusaders. GO CRUSADERS GO! BEAT ISIS !!!
