This past weekend I went on a Retreat of more than one day, for the first time in 22 years. It started Thursday night and went to Sunday afternoon and was organized and coordinated by men in my parish, working with other men from surrounding parishes and a strong group from Connecticut. The “team” was 18 men and the retreatants (including me) were also 18.
The acronym stands for Adoration – Community – Theology – Service.
It was intense and it was really excellent. The Retreat team had put in a HUGE amount of work.
I didn’t know ACTS had a website until I started this posting, and here it is – ACTS Missions
I’m hoping Brigid does the next women’s retreat from the parish, in September. The next men’s one is in March, 2016.
I took a few pictures, but am not going to post any individuals on the Retreat. Here is some artwork from the Don Bosco Retreat Center where we stayed – across the river in Stony Point, NY.
Here’s the one picture on the wall in my room.
And some other stuff decorating the hallways. The reflection in the next to last one is moi, in my red Retreat shirt I was given Saturday night.

No doubt you can pick up on the Retreat House Marian Theme …
Ok, here’s one back at Holy Name before the concluding Mass, all in our red shirts. Afterwards there was lunch in the gym.

Great three days, highly recommended.
