At the Westchester County Championships, where he came 5th, with a best throw of 142′, the best among county sophomores. He’s now ranked #5 in the state among high school sophomores and #19 overall.
The big varsity Catholic HS intersectionals are this Sunday, and Tim would dearly love to go over 150′, which would qualify him for the Eastern States Nationals. Here’s his PR from two weekends ago – 145’7″.
The meet Sunday is at Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island, where Tim has always done well. He likes the turf/rubberized runway, which is faster then the grass run-up.
