My friend Sue Konig, running for the Westchester County Legislature – vote is tomorrow.

Here’s an email I sent around this morning:

This is a first! An email I’m sending around, asking people to vote for someone!

Tomorrow is an election day, and my friend and neighbor Susan Konig is running for the Westchester County legislature. Sue is on the Republican and Conservative lines, so if you are a Democrat, I ask you to hold your nose and vote for her anyway.

You may recall that two years ago Sue ran for the same position as a newcomer on the County scene, and lost by nine votes. The incumbent is not running again.

Sue Konig is a Georgetown graduate, a mother of four, a columnist and author of two very well received books, a former Village of Croton Trustee, and a member of Holy Name of Mary parish. Three of her children have attended the HNM Montessori school, she currently has a child in each of the Croton schools.

I can’t say enough nice things about Susan who I have known for at least 12 years. I will just say that she believes in fiscal responsibility, is keenly aware of the need to protect our environment in the Hudson Valley, and shares our moral values.

And as I said, she’s my neighbor. Here’s Sue several years ago – I think she was out waiting for a school bus.

Please vote for Susan Konig!

    A Croton neighbor

Don’t forget that her children started in St. Augustine and her oldest is due to graduate from Convent of the Sacred Heart in Manhattan this spring. Caroline Kennedy went there, too.

  2. Susan is amazing. That’s the bottom line. We need her on the county board.
