Tim’s first high school football (actually a scrimmage and doesn’t count, but what the heck?)

Saturday, at WestHill HS in Stamford CT., a controlled freshman football scrimmage. Beside Stepinac, New Canaan and WestHill participated.

As I think I’ve written, Stepinac HS football is big-time high school ball. How big? Go here. Stepinac was 12-0 last year and is in the metropolitan AAA CHSFL (Catholic High School Football League).

So the freshman had their first hit-out, with Tim getting plenty of time as first team fullback and middle linebacker.

Stepinac in blue. Here he is lined up at fullback (big wide dude in the red socks).

Look closely and you’ll see him at linebacker in this one (red socks!).

He’s at fullback because he’s a load as a blocker. Here’s an 11 second video as he lead blocks for the tailback taking out two defenders (you’ll have to look closely – & one two defender ends up on the ground).

In the vid, that is emphatically NOT me saying “There you go, there you go” on the audio …
