Two fitness articles that say less is more

The first one says you can do a better marathon if you walk part of it (FULL DISCLOSURE - I have friends who've run marathons – Mike Sprag who we knew from Cayman did a 2:48 – and I've been to the NY Marathon – when Spragg ran. I ahve never had any desire – nor will I ever have eny desire – to run a marathon.)

Then there's this article – which I really doubt – about interval training. It's only one study, but probably worth reading.
