Brigid’s Notre Dame arraignment

Brigid got back late Tuesday night from ND. The Tuesday morning arraignment took only minutes; the judge called her up, she pled “not guilty” and that was it. The trials begin in mid-September with Brigid and the rest of the “South Bend Five” (the five NY area criminals) scheduled for September 29th.

Now, quite candidly, the President of Notre Dame, Fr. Jenkins, must be a complete jerk. Plenty of knowledge, but no wisdom. What’s done in 99% of these civil disobedience cases, is that the charges are dismissed after the incident is over. And the “Fighting Irish” could easily tell the prosecutors to drop the charges.

So this could go on for quite a while – as the defense sues for civil rights violations. Could very well happen.
