Brigid’s home, safe and sound

If you didn’t know she was away this weekend, go here Brigid off to Notre Dame and here  Brigid makes the news at Notre Dame today .

Brigid got home around 11:30 this morning. On the way back from Notre Dame they made several stops in New Jersey, dropping people off at home or school, before she picked up her car at a “secure location” (Joan and Chris’ house) near Port Jervis.

Thanks to the many people who have already emailed or called Brigid to see how she’s doing and to congratulate her!

More stuff to follow in other posts – here are three pictures from ND from Brigid’s camera.

You have to love this sign in the window of the small office that the “alternate commencement” had rented –

The back of Joan Andrews Bell’s t-shirt has a profound line on it. To her right is Fr. Norman Weslin, who is 80 years old and who was arrested twice – Action at Notre Dame as police crack down on 80 year old priest carrying crucifix and refused to pay bail the second time. He may still be in jail.

And here she is with some of the people she was arrested with. She was out on bail after a couple of hours. The woman wearing the Notre Dame sweat shirt is Norma McCorvey, the “Roe” in Roe v. Wade. About ten years ago she renounced her pro-abortion position, became an Evangelical Christian and then a Catholic, and is now working to get Roe v. Wade reversed. A profound conversion.

Brigid’s t-shirt says “Pro-justice  Pro-life  Pro-peace.” Kind of a wear-to-any-demonstration t-shirt. Yeah, yeah, not everyone will like the sign. We report you decide.
