Recent doings at Farandaville

I haven’t really posted much lately about the mundane, every-day, fun, fun, fun, we have around here. Mainly, becuase it’s more work than simply posting an article which I’ve read online, or a joke or youtube video I’ve been sent.

So here’s a little catching up.

Joe’s indoor track season ended almost six weeks ago. Here he is waiting to run a 55 meter sprint at The Armory in Manhattan.

And here he is after taking the handoff on a 4 x 200 relay

The outdoor season starts in a few weeks.

Meanwhile Tim’s CYO basketball season ended a couple of weeks ago, and last weekend was the awards ceremony at St. Augustine’s.

A couple of boys couldn’t make the ceremony –

It’s a big deal

Here’s Joe going through a “rite of passage” as we woke up with a flat tire in the driveway three weeks ago. Learn by doing. Joe turns 16 in July.

Two Fridays ago Brigid and I did a morning walk out to the end of Croton point, called Teller’s Point. Brigid does it quite often.

The end of Teller’s Point is a kind of Bluff, and you have to scramble down 50 or 60 feet to get to the water. Here’s Brigid – I stayed at the top –

Of course there’s this issue, which Brigid says doesn’t appy to her, since she was coming to this spot before the sign arrived

Another angle as Brigid walks around the tip of Teller’s

Then today, Brigid and another Mom took Joe and six of his friends up to Liberty NY, for a big paintball session. Here’s Joe and his bud’s.

Ahhh, yes, never a dull moment.
