Fr. Jonathan Morris is a young priest (he looks like he's in his mid 20's; he's actually 36) who shows up on television fairly often, doing commentary. He did a good job for FOX news when the Pope was in New York, and I was steered to his weblog on FOX awhile ago. About a month ago I got his book through Amazon, after reading the reviews posted there.
The Promise is sub-titled God's Purpose and Plan for When Life Hurts. I suppose this is kind of a perenial theme for spiritual writers; why does God let bad things happen, how do we handle adversity, etc.
I was kind of intrigued to see if a guy twenty years younger than me had anything to say that would resonate. and the answer is yes, but with no great revelations or life-changing insights.
