My birthday today as I hit 50 again

My rule of thumb used to be “always subtract seven years” – and that hasn’t changed. But I don’t think I can get away with that one anymore. Here I am in Oxford, England three weeks ago. Brigid took the picture as we had lunch.

Today I’ll be driving Joe and friends around to get to a concert, and watching Tim play baseball on his summer “travel team.” And squeeze in the gym at some point. They’ll be a Little celebration tomorrow for Joe, who turned 15 two days ago Tom Faranda’s Folly: Joe is 15 today and I, when my mother is here.

  1. Tom, what’s the sense of having a wife who is a photoshop computer expert if you are not going to erase a facial laughline or two on your birthday pic? Where are these women when you need them? Not to worry – cute is as cute does.
    Happy Birthday, cutie!
