This is cool; four members of one family summit Everest

This is the climbing season on Mount Everest – the rest of the year the weather is just too bad. Yesterday was the 55th anniversary of the first summiting of Everest, by the New Zealander Edmund Hillary and the Sherpa Tenzig Norgay.

A few days ago, a record 75 people reached the top of Everest on the same day. Obviously, it's easier now, with Himalayan guiding companies, fixed lines on the mountain, modern equipment, etc. But still an awesome challenge – and dangerous. one death this year so far.
