Several of my die-hard, yellow dog Democrat* friends are big Obama supporters. And there was an op ed in the NY Times a few days ago, as well as a long (much too long) piece by Andrew Sullivan in the Atlantic Monthly. The common theme is that Obama will be a unifier, taking us beyond partisan politics.**
Here is a very interesting post on Althouse, about another recent feature on Obama, in The New Yorker magazine . I haven’t read the New Yorker article, but it seems the gist of it is in this post.
Althouse: "A bunch of conventional wisdom patched together."
* A yellow dog Democrat – someone who will vote Democrat even if their candidate is a yellow dog.
** My opinion, expressed in other posts I’ve put up, is that Obama is Dan Quayle Lite. Form without substance. An empty suit. I am quite sure the Obama campaign could care less about my opinon.
