A little bit on the Farandaville domestic front

Friday was one of those big days  – two large boxes arrived – the new Dell computer.

By the time I got home, the official family IT guy – Joe – had gotten stuck into things, and there were wires running all over the first floor. In addition to the computer and screen, we got a router (to allow for better wireless operation around the house – ESPECIALLY TO THE XBOX 360). Why a router designed to help us go wireless requires wires strung everywhere I don’t understand, which is why Joe is the IT guy and I just use things.

And the study/computer room was a shambles. Here’s a picture from Saturday morning, when the mess had been a little cleaned up, showing the maestro at work.

You can’t really see the computer itself – it’s on the floor to the right of Joe, on it’s side.

Most of yesterday I took easy – have caught a cold and am trying to shake it. I even skipped the gym.

But Brigid, having gone to the Ossining Market, decided to cook a Sea Bass (we think it’s a Bass) she bought, along with some scallops. I have to tell you, we rarely eat a fresh fish, so it was a bit of a big deal. Here Mr. Bass is, from start to finish.

It was a pretty good-tasting fish –

But it looks like it took a bit of work!

Then Brigid did some marshmallows and wafer cookies dipped in chocolate for a Church bake sale today.

Needless to say, not all the inventory is making it to Church this morning.
