Tim’s Cub Scout dinner

The Cub Scout Blue and Gold dinner was last night, with Tim and his nine buddies “crossing the bridge” from Webelos one to Webelos two.

This coming year will be his last year as a Cub Scout. At the end of the year I do suspect he’ll want to go on with Boy Scouts. That’s our hope, for sure.

Here’s a picture of Tim with his friend Chase –

And here he is checking out his new badges –

Tim has two more scouting events this June. On the weekend of the 23rd he’ll be overnighting (we will all be with him) near the Delaware river and then rafting on the Delaware. Then the following weekend will be a Renegades game (Minor League baseball team, class A) and I’ll be camping out on the field with him. We hope he’ll be off the crutches by the 23rd.

On Thursday he is going to see a pediatric hematologist at Westchester Medical Center to make sure he has no blood disease that caused his bone infarct, and then a week from Tuesday he’ll see the orthopod again. We hope at that point the “no weight bearing on left foot” will end and he can discard the crutches.

He says his foot feels good.
