I had my routine CBC done Friday, but won’t know the results until Monday, when I call Dr. Klimek’s office in NY.
I am pleased to say that ten days after ending the augmentin antibiotic regimen, my sinuses are not infected. I think this is about the longest I’ve gone since November without an infection or antibiotics, so hopefully that issue is past tense for awhile. I started getting serious about doing this saline-squirted-up-both-nostrils thingie a few weeks ago (sounds a bit gross – and it is) and I think that helps my sinuses.
As far as Tim, he had a hard cast put on his ankle Friday, exactly a week after he broke his fibula.Tom Faranda’s Folly: Tim’s first sports injury
He’ll have it on for about four weeks, and then probably go back to the aircast for a little while. The orthopedist, Dr. Purcell, says everything looks fine and expects him to make a perfect recovery. I’m sure Tim will enjoy the temporary stardom that comes with having a cast and crutches in grammar school. Here he is, looking unusually serious!
