Tim had his last game of the season Saturday, playing for the 3rd and 4th grade Ossining Little League football team, and they finally got a win. They beat Hastings, 12-7. The Ossining program is very good, with two 3rd and 4th grade teams (most river towns only have one side) so the talent is spread a little thin. Hence the losing record.
However Tim had an excellent season, playing offensive tackle and on the defensive line. He was also one of the co-captains.
I got to Saturday’s game a little late and the game was already underway. Tim was lined up against an opponent who was bigger then him (taller anyway) and I was thinking “uh oh could be a tough day.” Then on the first play from scrimmage Tim knocked the boy back three yards and pancaked him (knocked him on his backside, for the uninitiated).
Here he is against #53, who was the victim of the pancaking on an earlier play!

On the defensive line. #69 is Sean, his buddy and the other co-captain, who plays linebacker.
