Halloween 2006

For the first time, our two boys did not go trick or treating for candy, they just went tricking. Brigid helped them out by (against my advice) supplying them with cans of shaving cream. So they took off, each with a friend, to Beekman Ave, where the cool kids hang out.

Here’s Tim, with his friend Chase, after they returned from the hunt:

Here’s Joe and his friend Ryan (doing their Mutt and Jeff routine). they arrived back at the house with two young woman (eighth graders) who introduced themselves, used the bathroom, and then walked home. When I asked Joe who the girls were, he said “I don’t know. We just met them tonight.” Huh? These things never happened to me when I was in the eighth grade. In fact they never happened to me, ever.

  1. i don’t know, tom and brigid, halloween tricking is a slippery slope and you know what that means. first its cavities, now its shaving cream, next its egging, then on to loitering, toilet papering trees, frat house parties, spring breaks in october…its all downhill from here. sorry, poor sad parents…boo hoo. t
