Got my white blood and stem cells back today at 10:15 in the morning – 4 million of them in one large syringe. The whole thing took less than 15 minutes. Side effects included feeling warm and a funny, metallic taste in my mouth.

And – they’d given me some sort of sedative, so I was pretty zonked out until around 4 in the afternoon.

Here’s a picture, taken by Brigid. The cells are being injected in through the IV catheter in the front of my right shoulder.

I feel fine!

I had the same type tranplant in 1999; started Rituxan tretments in 2002 on a relapse; got Bladder cancer discovered in 2005; had baldder removed in 2005; cancers are in check but have had chronic sinusitus for the past 26 months. Original diagnosis was in 04/1996. If only the sinusitus would improve; I’d be “OK”. I wish you well.
